Day 1 The Kettlebells

OK, it's day one of me getting back into shape and I decided to start off with the kettlebells (I started yesterday actually). All I have to say is Ouch. That thing works so many muscles with so few exercises.

All I did was 3 sets of snatches, 1st set 10 reps with the 35lb, 2nd set 5 reps with the 50lb. and another 10 reps with the 35lb. I did the sets with a fairly short rest period between sets for a cardio style workout. This did the trick because my lungs were burning like I was out running at top speeds (talk about being winded).

That was all I did and now today I'm tight and sore in my biceps, my neck, my traps, my lats, my groin, my hamstrings (do I need to go further?).

I'll post more later...I gotta go stretch and beg for a massage.

My Body

Right now my body is in pitiful condition. With all of the aches and pains I have I know my bodies telling me to get my lazy butt up and some something about this, so this is what I'm going to do:

1. Start a simple exercise routine with a few basic exercises

2. Begin to eat better healthier meals

3. Watch less TV

OK, I know it's a short list but it is a beginning. I'll add more things as time goes on. I've found so much helpful information out there. I'm going to share all I can and have fun in the process, but these are my baby steps right now and I'm taking them.

Minding My Fitness

Today is the beginning of my journey, and hopefully yours too, into creating a fitter ME (and You).

I'm setting forth to find out what's out there causing people to be soo out of shape physically, mentally, and emotionally. While on this quest I'll find new and exciting ways to help free ourselves from what's holding us back from reaching our full potentials. Also I'll share with you things from our past that can help us combat our demons today.

Now, enough talk...let's get to it
